Greeting My Brothers & Sisters,

We, the Northeast Metro Church of Christ in Buford, Georgia are in dyer need of your help. A year ago we fell behind in our monthly lease on the building. Well since that time we are currently able to sustain each month but not able to pay what is past due. On Monday July 16, 2007 we were served a Dispossessory (Eviction Notice) by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office. We had 7 days from issuance to answer this Dispossessory which was on July 23, 2007. We were giving a court date August 01, 2007 to appear. In order to stop these proceedings we solicit your efforts to help us raise $6,103 by no later than Tuesday July 31, 2007. We realize this is short notice, but we would not ask if it was not of the utmost importance. FYI......Our monthly lease is $2,300 per month not including utilities, insurance, etc......... .. On the books 60 members..... ..average attendance 45-47....... 25 adults (half on fixed income), 20 children (5 being college students), $400-$450 is the average weekly contribution. ......Currently we have a low-income daycare which operates within the building. We are able to maintain all bills with current income, but beyond this we are unable to satisfy past debt. With the daycare we are able to interact with students and parents.

From this interaction we are afforded the opportunity to share the Gospel with families, and have since had 2 baptism's. So our foremost goal or plan is to share the gospel even more with our families, and pray that God pricks their hearts to obey the gospel, and therefore increase the membership. Secondly, we plan to increase the involvement of the community with the many programs we have to offer. Therefore, once again allowing us to gain a rapport with others in the community and giving us the opportunity to share Christ. We come to you in love, faith, and most importantly as our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. This congregation has been a pillar in this community. We give assistance to thousands of people each year through our abstinence classes,computer classes, ESL, entrepreneurship, counseling (anger management, parenting, family, addiction, mediation, 12-Step Christian Recovery), job placement, GED program, dress for success, and career & academic assessment. From these programs and services we are able to introduce individuals to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We all need help from time to time. It just happens to be our turn this time!
